Hi Philippe, Very good catch - and you are correct, I've only seen Nuthatches in fir/pine trees. Both "peckers" were being extremely un-cooperative in sitting still anywhere but the suet feeder - so I grabbed a couple of decent shots, removed the suet and replaced with the vine maple. (I was wanting a nice color contrast) All three subjects were of my data, so I tried to pull a fast one. Very good catch indeed - nobody else has asked. Two gold stars!!! Have a great DAy!!!
